Ancient glass and pearl earrings made with Argentium silver (AS.960) ear wires. Inspired by the jewelry dug up in archaeological sites in Italy. I imagine a priestess wearing jewels like these with her white linen dress as she anoints an offering in a marble columned temple to a goddess. This glass is imported from Afghanistan by a one of my favorite bead vendors. It is covered with a rich patina, and has deep teal color to the glass. There are never two pairs of these earrings that are alike, as each bead is crafted by hand. This pair is about 2.5 inches long including the ear wires.
